Pro Terms

1. Scope

These Pro Terms apply to any business or individual who creates, claims or manages a listing on Housane, buys a plan or Featured Boost, or unlocks leads ("Pro," "you"). They add to our Terms of Use. By creating a listing or buying a plan you agree to them on behalf of yourself and your business.

2. Independent relationship

You are an independent business. Nothing in these terms creates an employment, partnership, joint venture, franchise or agency relationship between you and Housane. Housane does not control how you perform your work, set your prices or supervise your jobs, and is not a party to your contracts with customers.

3. Your listing must be accurate

• Provide true, current information about your business name, address, services, service areas, licenses, insurance, ownership and contact details.
• Keep your listing updated within 14 days of any change, including any lapse, suspension or revocation of a license or insurance policy.
• Use only photos and content you own or have permission to use, and that show your own work.
• Do not create duplicate listings or listings for businesses you do not own or represent.

Housane may review, edit for formatting, decline, suspend or remove any listing that breaks these terms or seems misleading, unsafe or unlawful.

4. Licenses, insurance and the law

You are solely responsible for holding and maintaining every license, registration, permit, bond and insurance policy required for your work in each place you work, and for following all applicable laws, including licensing, consumer protection, contractor, home solicitation, deposit limits, lien, tax, employment, privacy, telemarketing, fair housing and anti discrimination laws.

5. How you treat customers

• Respond honestly and professionally, give clear written estimates and honor your quotes and warranties.
• Never discriminate against any customer based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, familial status, age or any other protected characteristic.
• Never use high pressure, deceptive or bait and switch sales tactics.
• Use customer contact details only to respond to that customer about their request, never for unrelated marketing, and never sell or share them.
• Stop contacting a customer who asks you to stop, and honor text opt outs immediately.

6. Reviews

You may invite real customers to review you, but you may not write reviews of your own business or competitors, pay or offer incentives for reviews, ask only happy customers for reviews in a way that is designed to mislead, or pressure customers to change reviews. You may reply publicly to reviews in a professional way. Housane does not remove truthful reviews because they are negative. See our Review and Content Guidelines.

7. Housane Verified

If you apply for the Housane Verified badge, you authorize us to verify the documents and information you provide, including with state agencies, licensing boards and insurers. You must provide genuine documents. We may remove the badge at any time if records lapse, cannot be confirmed, or you break these terms. Submitting false or altered documents will result in removal from Housane.

8. Plans, fees and renewals

Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or yearly basis and renew automatically at the then current price until you cancel. You can cancel anytime in your dashboard or by contacting us; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Plan features, ranking factors and prices may change; we will give at least 30 days notice of a price increase for your plan. Billing details are in our Billing and Refund Policy. Housane never charges a commission on jobs you win.

9. Search ranking and placement

Search results are ordered by a mix of factors, which may include relevance to the search, location, plan level, profile completeness, verification status, reviews and responsiveness. Paid plans and featured placements are labeled or described on our Pricing page. We do not guarantee any particular position, number of views, calls, leads or jobs.

10. Customer data

Customer information you receive through Housane is provided only so you can respond to that customer. You must protect it with reasonable security, use it only for that purpose and as the law allows, and delete it when no longer needed. You are an independent controller of customer data you receive and are responsible for your own privacy compliance.

11. Content license

You grant Housane a worldwide, non exclusive, royalty free license to use your business name, logo, photos, descriptions and other listing content to operate and promote the Services, including in search results, emails, social media and ads that feature Housane. You confirm you have the rights to grant this license.

12. Suspension and removal

We may suspend or remove your listing, badge, plan or leads access, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you broke these terms, harmed customers, created legal risk, or received a pattern of serious complaints. If we remove you for breaking these terms, fees already paid are not refunded.

13. Your responsibility to us

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Housane from claims, damages, fines and costs, including reasonable attorneys fees, arising from your services, your dealings with customers, your listing content, your use of customer data or your violation of these terms or the law.

14. Liability and disputes

The disclaimers, limitation of liability, arbitration agreement and class action waiver, governing law and general terms in our Terms of Use apply to these Pro Terms. For Pros, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid Housane in the 3 months before the claim.
